A truck driver was injured earlier this week when his 18-wheeler rear-ended another 18-wheeler on Highway 59 in Lufkin, Texas.
Rickey Sessum was merging onto Highway 59 from FM 2021 in his 18-wheeler, traveling south, when he was hit from behind by Richard Hooker. Luckily Sessum was not injured in the crash, according to police. Hooker was sent to Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin. The severity of his injuries were not reported.
No fault has been assigned by police at this time to either of the truck drivers.
