The car accident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. today on Highway 121 in Grapevine, Texas, just north of Dallas. The accident victim, for reasons yet unknown, abandoned her car in the median then attempted to cross the southbound lanes of traffic, where she was struck by an automobile. The driver of the car that struck the pedestrian immediately stopped and called for assistance. Police had to divert traffic for hours after the car accident while they investigated.
