A pedestrian stepped into oncoming lane of traffic in Grand Prairie, TX and was struck and killed last night, marking that city’s tenth traffic fatality for the year. James Elmore, who was 22 years old and mentally handicapped, was struck by a car driven by 20 year old Ethan Cook. Mr. Elmore was pronounced dead at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Mr. Cook did not have a driver’s license and the evidence indicates that he was speeding at the time of the car accident. It is not know at this time what criminal charges, if any, are pending against Mr. Cook.
