Late on October 11th, a 21-year old woman was killed in a trucking accident after her sedan collided into the back of an 18-wheeler on Highway 123 near Greenville, South Carolina. Police in the area conducted an investigation as to the cause of the wreck, and found that the collision occurred as the 18-wheeler was making a right-hand turned onto Highway 124 from Highway 123.
The woman was found to be wearing her seat belt, and was trapped in her car due to her wreck. She was extracted from her car by emergency responders, but unfortunately died during transport to Greenville Memorial Hospital due to blunt force trauma. The truck driver was uninjured in the accident.
Though the crash logistics have been investigated, at the time of this post no fault has been assigned to either driver involved.
