A driver was killed in Bryan, Texas yesterday after being involved in an accident with an 18-wheeler truck.
The crash unfolded on Highway 21 at Pleasant Hill Road when a car drifted out of the westbound lane and into an oncoming 18-wheeler truck. The two collided, and the car soon set on fire with the driver trapped inside.
Emergency officials were unable to put out the fire before the driver died.
Traffic was completely shut down in both directions. The driver of the car has not yet been identified. The truck driver was sent to a nearby hospital, though the exact nature of their injuries was not reported.
Police have not yet officially determined why the car left its lane of the highway.
