A man was killed Sunday afternoon when his Chevy Cobalt was struck head-on by an oncoming 18-wheeler truck.
The wreck happened at about 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Charles Traylor, 28, was driving his Cobalt sedan northbound on Highway 3 in Warren County, when he crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a large tractor-trailer head-on.
Right after the impact Traylor’s Cobalt ignited in flames, according to officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Traylor was killed on the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler truck was not injured in the crash. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
