Two people from Chillicothe, Illinois were killed Monday afternoon when their Hyundai Elantra sedan struck a school bus.
April Turner, 34, and Marc Lane, 58, were pronounced dead at the scene when emergency officials arrived. The school bus was driving eastbound on Cedar Hills Drive when the car hit in between the front and back wheels. Ms. Turner was driving the car.
According to police there were about 60 students on the bus. 3 of the students were transported by ambulance to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with minor injuries and are expected to be okay.
Witnesses stated that Turner ran a red light at the intersection before T-boning the bus.
