An 18 year old female is being held in Tarrant County jail charged with intoxication manslaughter following a late night car accident. Early reports indicate that Cristan Jerri Melancon was driving a Jeep Wrangler in Keller, Texas around 12:30 a.m. last night when she pulled out and struck a motorcycle driven by Jason Wakeford. Mr. Wakeford was pronounced dead at John Peter Smith Hospital about an hour later. Investigating officers believe Ms. Melancon was intoxicated at the time of the car accident.
