3-Vehicle Accident Caused by Suspected Drunk Driver

A three-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler occurred early Sunday on Interstate 25 near Fountain Colorado.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, an 18-wheeler truck and a Ford F-150 were both traveling southbound on the interstate when a Nissan Altima tried to squeeze in between the two. The crash took place around midnight.

Two people were seriously injured, both in the Nissan Altima. It was not reported whether either of them were the driver. They were transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. No other injuries were reported.

The State Patrol has stated that they suspect alcohol and speeding to be a cause of the crash.
