A Balch Springs woman faces charges of driving under the influence after she ran over her husband with her car.Mary Jane Lane passed out at a red light, at which point her husband exited the car to try to wake her up. When he attempted to unbuckle her belt, she awakened and stepped on the accelerator.Her husband was dragged on the side of the car, resulting in two broken legs and head injuries.Police officers discovered Ms. Lane a couple miles away from the scene of the accident with her engine off blocking traffic at Northwest Highway and Lawther Drive. She was initially charges with intoxication assault. Fortunately, no other car wrecks or injuries occurred s a result of Ms. Lane’s alleged driving under the influence.
