The unidentified driver of a Volvo was killed this morning after running head-on into an 18-wheeler truck in Houston, Texas.
According to the Houston Police Department, the Volvo driver was driving north on Almeda Road at Reed Road when they crossed over the center line and swerved in front of an oncoming 18-wheeler heading south.
After the initial collision, the 18-wheeler then crossed the center line and hit a Toyota Tacoma truck, before flipping over in a nearby ditch.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital due to minor injuries. The driver of the Tacoma pickup was not hurt.
The exact cause for the Volvo driver drifting across the center line is unknown at this time.
