The driver of a box truck was killed last week after a collision involving his vehicle and an 18-wheeler truck.
The wreck took place Tuesday afternoon on June 27th on Texas Highway 114 near the town of Rhome.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Michael Banfalvi was driving a box truck on the highway when an 18-wheeler ahead of him began to make a right-hand turn towards a driveway. Banfalvi reportedly did not notice that the 18-wheeler was turning and attempted to pass it on the right shoulder of the road.
The 18-wheeler hit the box truck on the side and caused it to roll over. Banfalvi was fatally injured in the crash, and was transported by helicopter to John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the 18-wheeler truck was not injured in the crash.
