Truck Driver Dustin Seitz, 21, After Truck Leaves Road

A 21-year-old truck driver was killed early Friday morning after his tractor-trailer truck crashed near the intersection of US Highways 75 and 24 near Topeka, Kansas.

The driver, Dustin Seitz, from Lexington, Missouri, was headed north on US 75. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, his truck crossed over the median and both of the opposite southbound lanes. The truck then drove down an embankment, before coming to rest at the shoulder of eastbound Highway 24.

Seitz was found dead at the scene by emergency responders. Officials are still investigating why the truck originally left the road. A stretch of Highway 24 was closed down while officials continue to conduct their investigation.

No other individuals were injured as a result of the single-vehicle wreck.
