A truck driver died in an 18-wheeler crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 37 near Campbellton, Texas. The wreck occurred at about 3:20 a.m.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, an initial accident between two big rigs triggered two other crashes also involving big rigs. In total, four 18-wheelers were involved. One of the drivers of these four trucks was killed, though he or she has not been identified.
The northbound lanes of I-37, where the wreck occurred, were shut down for multiple hours while debris and wreckage was cleared and while police investigators examined the scene.
No police report has been issued at this time.
