The driver of a semi-truck was killed yesterday morning after his truck flipped and caught on fire.
The incident occurred at about 5:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 in McClain County, near Ladd Road. According to police, the truck rolled over and then caught fire. The fire moved quickly to the nearby gas, but responding firefighters extinguished it before it spread.
Emergency responders pronounced the truck driver dead upon arrival. No report has been filed detailing exactly why the truck flipped over or if there were any contributing factors such as weather or driver error.
