A motorcyclist was killed in San Antonio on Friday after being run over by an 18-wheeler truck.
According to police, the unidentified victim was driving west on the access road of Loop 410 and Highway 151 when he struck a road barrier while attempting to enter Loop 410. The motorcyclist fell off his bike and was then run over by an 18-wheeler. The victim died at the scene.
An officer with the San Antonio Police Department stated that the driver of the truck had no time to react to avoid the fallen motorcyclist. The truck driver did stop after the accident to await the arrival of emergency responders.
No official police report has been released yet. It is unclear whether or not charges will be sought against the driver of the 18-wheeler.
