42-year-old Jason Dwire, from Rockwall, Texas, was killed Sunday after a chain-reaction crash involving an 18-wheeler truck.
The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 30 in Mesquite, Texas. According to police, a large 18-wheeler truck hit the back of a Cadillac CTS. The Cadillac then hit a Chevy pickup truck, which then hit a Chevy Trailblazer SUV.
Jason Dwire was driving the Cadillac. He was sent by ambulance to a local hospital, but died after arrival.
Police have not stated exactly what caused the 18-wheeler the crash into Dwire’s Cadillac. It has also not been publicly released whether the driver of the large commercial truck will face charges.
It was also not reported whether any of the other drivers were injured in the crash.
