Pascual Rueda-Orozco, 42, died early Monday morning when he was involved in an auto accident involving two 18-wheelers. The wreck took place on US Highway 290 in Bastrop County, Texas.
According to the Department of Public Safety, one of the 18-wheelers crossed over the center strip of the road and struck the other truck heading in the opposite direction. Rueda-Orozco was the driver of one of the big rigs, and died at the scene. It is not yet clear which 18-wheeler crossed over the center divider.
The driver of the second truck, a 63-year-old man from Smithville, Texas, was taken to University Medical Center-Brackenridge for treatment. The severity of his injuries were not reported.
The crash is still under investigation at this time.
