Kevin Cook, a 23-year-old man out of Diboll, Texas, was killed early Wednesday morning in an auto-pedestrian accident involving an 18-wheeler.
According to police, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning near the intersection of Highway 59 and FM 2497. Cook was allegedly struck by the truck in the southbound lanes of Highway 59.
The investigation by the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Public Safety remains ongoing, but it appears that no charges will be sought against the driver of the 18-wheeler.
