A crash involving a big-rig truck took place last Friday night in La Canada Flintridge, California, in Los Angeles County, resulting in hundreds of gallons of spilled oil on the side of the road.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a large truck carrying bananas and other produce overturned on the 210 Freeway near the Angeles Crest Highway. The big-rig’s trailer ended up straddling the side of the interstate. About 200 gallons of diesel fuel spilled as a result of the crash, though none of it entered any drains.
Thankfully no other vehicles were involved, and nobody was injured. Two westbound lanes of the freeway were closed as officials began a cleanup effort that lasted several hours.
Police investigators have not yet determined a cause for the crash.
