Interstate 40 near Amarillo was shut down for seven hours after an early Sunday morning wrong way collision. The driver of a Dodge Neon entered the east bound lanes of Interstate 40 driving west, where the car crashed into two 18 wheelers.
The driver of the Neon sustained life threatening injuries. One of the commercial truck drivers sustained minor injuries. To no one’s surprise, police say alcohol was a factor in this car wreck.
