1 Killed, 2 Injured in Fiery 3-Vehicle Crash in Cameron, Texas Involving 18-Wheeler

One person was killed and two were injured Wednesday morning after a three-vehicle crash unfolded in Cameron, Texas.

According to police, an 18-wheeler heading southbound on North Columbus Avenue had crossed into the northbound lane and struck another vehicle. The driver of that car was killed in the crash, and their car set on fire.

After the initial crash, the 18-wheeler overturned, slid down the road, and crashed into a second car headed north.

The drivers of the 18-wheeler and the second vehicle were transported to Scott & White Medical Center in nearby Temple. Their injuries were not reportedly life-threatening.

None of the victims’ names have been released at this point. It is not clear whether charges have been filed against the driver of the 18-wheeler.
