An unidentified 27-year-old woman died Tuesday morning following a crash with an semi-truck carrying sand, just outside Tampa, Florida.
The crash occurred at about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of SR-62 and County Road 39. According to police, Yamir Pardo, 47, from Lakeland, Florida, was driving west in a large commercial semi-truck. Pardo was driving west towards the intersection that had a flashing yellow light.
Meanwhile, the unidentified 27-year-old, heading southbound, was stopped at the intersection with a flashing red light. She turned left right in front of Prado. Prado reportedly attempted to move out of the way, but could not prevent the collision.
The semi-truck rolled onto the shoulder of the road, while the other car came to rest on the same shoulder.
Identification of the deceased woman is currently pending notification of next of kin.
