Marley Chapla, a 21-year-old from the Woodlands, Texas, was killed Tuesday morning in a car crash involving an 18-wheeler truck.
According to press reports, the crash took place at about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police stated that the wreck occurred when Chapla drove her Kia into the rear tires of a tractor trailer entering State Loop 116 from Highway 59. Chapla was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, Curtis Adair, 31, was not injured in the crash.
No official police report has been released as to the wreck, and what exactly caused Chapla to collide into the back of the 18-wheeler. Police have also not stated whether charges will be filed.
