Interstate 35 experienced significant delays on Tuesday as an 18-wheeler fire broke out on the interstate between Temple and Waco.
The incident originally started when an 18-wheeler crashed near mile marker 314 between Troy and Bruceville. Emergency response crews put out the flames resulting from this fire, but the fire caught back up a second time, requiring firefighters to put out the flames again.
Details on how the original wreck were not immediately available. Traffic was backed up from the scene all the way to Temple at one point. It took about 6 hours total for the northbound lanes of the interstate to be cleared back to normal.
