An 18-wheeler truck veered out of control Saturday morning, driving through a guardrail barrier and off a 20-foot overpass on Highway 101 in San Francisco. Thankfully nobody was killed in the accident.
The wreck took place just after 8 a.m. on the northbound section of the highway, near the intersection with Bayshore Boulevard. According to San Francisco Police, the truck had 3 occupants who were injured in the crash, with non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have not yet determined what exactly caused the wreck. The surrounding area was shut down to traffic as investigation and maintenance were performed.
