Four people were sent to the hospital Saturday due to a crash in College Park, Maryland involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck.
The crash took place on westbound Interstate 495 at the intersection of Riggs Road, when the two vehicles collided. According to the Maryland State Police, the 18-wheeler also struck a concrete bridge pillar and leaked fuel.
There were two occupants in the 18-wheeler truck: Dewinderpal Thind, 22, and Gurpreet Singh, 25. The driver of the Dodge pickup truck was Daniel Warren, 26, and his passenger was Mary-Kathleen Clark, 30. All four were transported to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Most of the roadway was shut down for an investigation into what exactly caused the accident. No charges have been filed yet related to this incident.
