Four people were killed Wednesday morning in a crash on Interstate 10 in Gautier, Mississippi.
According to the Mississippi State Highway Patrol, the crash took place at the 63-mile marker of the highway, over the Pascagoula River.
Exact details on how the incident unfolded have not made public, but the Highway Patrol stated that two 18-wheelers were involved, in addition to a Ford Expedition SUV and a red pickup truck.
All four who died were in the Ford SUV. The names of those individuals have not yet been released. The red pickup truck was reportedly run into the woods due to the crash.
Making matters worse, two emergency workers were injured in another collision about one mile from the original crash site, about one hour later.
