Three people were killed and five injured early Sunday in a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 44 in Franklin County, Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robert Batson was driving a 2004 Saab 2.0 in the westbound lane of I-44 when he collided with a 2013 Toyota Sienna driven by Sushma Settipalli. Batson’s vehicle veered off the left side of the highway after the collision, and Settipalli’s vehicle went to the right side of the highway.
Batson and Settipalli were both killed in the accident, along with 2-year-old Mahidar Settipalli. There were 7 total people in Settipalli’s Sienna. The remaining 5 passengers also suffered minor to serious injuries.
No police report has been issued at this time regarding this incident.
