Two teenagers were killed Friday in a crash with a semi-truck in Tualatin, Oregon. According to police, Andrew Gonzalez, 16, was driving a 1996 Volvo with passenger Michelle Guevera, 16, on Interstate 5 northbound near Interstate 205. Gonzalez attempted to pass a truck on the highway, but instead struck the rear of the vehicle. The Volvo spun out and then crashed again into the truck.
Both Gonzalez and Guevera were killed in the crash. The driver of the truck was not injured.
No police report has been finalized in this incident. Police have not yet reported any direct causation or contributing factors as to the wreck.
