One passenger and a train operator were injured Thursday morning when a Dallas Area Rapid Transport train crashed into an 18-wheeler truck.
According to a DART train operator, the accident occurred when the 18-wheeler truck ran a red light downtown near Houston Street at about 6:30 a.m., ad crashed into the southbound Blue Line train.
The crash caused extensive delays throughout downtown. One passenger reportedly suffered a minor injury, and a DART operator was transported to nearby Methodist Dallas Medical Center to be observed.
