Truck Driver Injured When Rig Carrying Hamburger Meat Crashes

An accident involving a big rig truck hauling hamburger meat took place Friday afternoon in Grapevine, Texas.

The crash took place on State Highway 360 at Stone Myers Parkway, and caused much of the freeway to be shut down for the rest of Friday and Saturday.

Reports did not state how the crash occurred, but suggested that no vehicles other than the truck were involved. After the truck crashed, it set on fire, burning much of the meat that had spilled out onto the road.

Thankfully the unidentified driver was able to escape the cab, and got away with minor injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Crews were out for much of Saturday performing emergency repairs on the roadway for the damage done by the wreck.
