On Thursday morning a tractor-trailer truck and a school bus were involved in an alleged hit-and-run accident.
According to police, the incident occurred at 7:45 a.m. in Leesburg, Virginia, when a red-and-white large commercial truck carrying cement struck the bus carrying 54 students to school.
Minor damage was caused to the bus, and two students were sent to the hospital after complaining of headaches. Due to the collision, a second school bus had to come pick up the remaining 52 students, who were then examined by a school nurse upon arrival.
The truck that hit the bus reportedly fled the scene following the accident, and as last reported it had not been found yet.
