A crash involving an 18-wheeler truck took place Monday morning on I-35 East near Justin Road in Denton, Texas.
Officials reportedly suspect the unidentified driver of falling asleep behind the wheel and slamming into a concrete barrier in the highway express lanes. The crash is still under investigation.
The wreck took place at about 5:50 a.m. The truck itself was hauling about 11,000 pounds of car parts, and leaked fuel as a result of the crash. Hazmat crews were called out on the scene to help clean up.
All southbound lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours as a result of the incident.
