A driver was killed early Monday morning during a multi-vehicle crash involving 9 vehicles. 9 people were also injured in the accident. The wreck occurred in Bullitt County, Kentucky. The identity of the deceased driver has not yet been released.
The wreck closed the southbound portion of I-65 for about 8 hours as clean-up and investigation took place. The severity of the injuries of the 9 survivors is unknown at this time. According to one witness, one of the vehicles exploded.
Reports state that the number of vehicles involved in the crash was hard to pin down, due to the fact that some of the vehicles had been blown into pieces during the apparent explosion. No police report has been released at this time.
