A woman was injured earlier today when she swerved in front of an 18-wheeler, causing a wreck on Interstate 20. The woman was driving an SUV when she swerved, hit a wall, overcorrected herself, and shot back in front of the 18-wheeler. The SUV was then struck by the 18-wheeler, and smashed through a guardrail, hit a curve, and flipped over into a ditch.
The driver of the SUV later crawled out of her car, and was taken to Augusta University Medical Center for treatment, though she appears to be okay.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not reported to be injured.
Police have not released any details as to an investigation of the incident.
