Last Wednesday morning Interstate 35E was shut down after a multi-vehicle pileup took place.
According to NBC DFW, at least seven vehicles were involved, and at least one driver was found pinned in their vehicle, said Dallas Fire-Rescue.
The cause of the wreck has not yet been officially determined.
Photos of the traffic showed vehicles backed up through the entire interstate. Reporting indicated that backups remained for about 4 hours, until 10 a.m. In addition to cleaning up vehicle wreckage, crews were called in to manage a fuel spill.
