A man was killed Saturday afternoon when his SUV collided with an 18-wheeler in Woodburn, Oregon.
According to Woodburn Police officers, the wreck occurred on southbound Interstate 5. Officers responded to the wreck and found the adult male driver dead upon arrival. The deceased driver has not yet been identified. A female passenger in the SUV appeared to be seriously injured. She was extracted by emergency responders with the Woodburn Fire District. Police also stated that two other passengers were treated at the scene, though the severity of their injuries was not reported.
The driver of the semi-truck did not appear to be injured. Freeway traffic on I-5 was closed down to one lane to allow for investigation and clean-up. Police did not give details as to what exactly caused the wreck, nor if the truck driver will be charged.
