A multi-vehicle wreck occurred Sunday afternoon on Route 58 near Suffolk, Virginia, killing a motorist.
Eric Zivan Brown, 21, from Suffolk, Virginia, was driving an Acura on Route 58 West near the exit for downtown Suffolk, when he struck a Dodge minivan and lost control of his vehicle, leaving the road. Brown was ejected during the crash, and his Acura landed off the roadway in a wooded area. Brown was sent via helicopter to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital due to serious injuries, but unfortunately died the next morning.
None of the four people aboard the minivan were injured in the wreck. Of the four, two were adults and two were juveniles.
The exit to downtown Suffolk was closed for several hours. Officials are not exactly sure yet what caused the Acura and the minivan to collide, as the accident remains under investigation.
