Three people were killed and one was seriously injured in a car wreck in Caddo Parish yesterday. Charles Creel and his eighteen year old son Caleb Creel of Atlanta, Texas died when a car driven by Ron Wheatley collided with them in a head on collision. Linda Creel, the wife and mother of the two deceased, was seriously injured. Ron Wheatley was also killed in the collision. Investigators believe that alcohol may have played a roll in the car wreck since an open container was found in Mr. Wheatley’s vehicle. The head on collision happened as a result of Mr. Wheatley driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 49. An 18 wheeler was traveling behind the Creel’s vehicle, and after the initial impact, the 18 wheeler collided with the Creels’ vehicle and pushed it into a ditch. The driver of the 18 wheeler did not sustain any injuries. The car wreck is still under investigation at this time.
