Crash Between Two Tractor-Trailers Kills One in Lawrence Township, Pennsylvania

A truck driver was seriously injured early Tuesday morning when two tractor-trailer trucks crashed into each other.

The wreck took place near mile marker 116 on Interstate 80 in Lawrence Township, Pennsylvania. One truck driver attempted to pass another large truck.

Robert Lowe, the truck driver who attempted the pass, was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to University of Pennsylvania Medical Center – Altoona, for treatment.

Interstate 80 was closed for about 3 hours as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation cleaned up the wreckage.

About 20 miles away, near mile marker 93 in Jefferson County, another man was killed in a separate wreck that also involved an 18-wheeler. This crash happened at about 11 p.m. Wednesday night. The deceased man has not yet been public identified.
