A driver was sent to a hospital Thursday morning after slamming into the back of a parked 18-wheeler on southbound Interstate 35, just south of Waco, Texas.
The accident took place at about 9 a.m. near Callan Ranch Road. Details on how exactly the accident occurred are not yet clear, but as the photo below depicts, the damage to the SUV was very serious.
Thankfully several off-duty medical responders were nearby right after the accident, and were able to pull the driver from the vehicle and render aid until first responders arrived from Bruceville-Eddy. Additionally, a small fire started after the wreck, but was extinguished by the emergency personnel.
As the investigation into the accident has not been completed, police have not yet stated whether any charges will be brought on any of the parties involved.
