Last Friday night an 18-wheeler crash took place that sent 7 people to the hospital.
The wreck took place on Southeast Loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas, near Interstate 37 at about 6:15 p.m. during rush hour traffic. Police reported that a truck driver lost control of his 18-wheeler, which ran into the median of the road and into the southbound lanes.
Two vehicles were struck directly by the large commercial truck, while a third car ran into the trailer after the first collision took place.
In total seven people were injured. One of those was airlifted to nearby University Hospital. The other six were driven by EMS to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
As the official police report has not been released, it is unclear whether charges will be pursued against any of the drivers.
