A 67-year-old man from the Woodlands, Texas died Saturday after a crash involving an 18-wheeler truck in Baytown, Texas.
At about 10 a.m., on Interstate 10, an 18-wheeler truck ran into the back of the 67-year-old’s pickup truck, and then subsequently struck another 18-wheeler and pushed it into a passenger car.
A 39-year-old passenger in the pickup truck was also transported to a Houston-area hospital by helicopter.
The driver of the first 18-wheeler was also transported to Houston San Jacinto Methodist Hospital while in stable condition. The driver of the second 18-wheeler, along with the driver of the passenger car, were both treated on the scene of the accident for minor injuries.
The roadway was closed for about 7 hours, until 5 p.m.
Latest reports on the incident do not indicate whether charges have been filed against any of the drivers.
