2 Killed in Semi-Truck Accident

Two people were killed Saturday morning in a wreck between two cars and a semi-truck on Interstate 94 in New Buffalo Township, Michigan.

According to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Apartment, a passenger vehicle first collided with the semi-truck. The passenger vehicle stopped in the median of the road and the truck veered off the right-hand side of the roadway. A second passenger vehicle then crashed into the stopped semi and slid under the rear trailer after the driver lost control.

Both the driver and the passenger of the second vehicle were killed in the wreck. Both were 20-year-old males from Illinois.

The driver and a passenger of the first vehicle were sent to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. The truck driver and his/her passenger reported no injuries.

The incident is still under investigation by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office. No charges have been issued at this time.
