18-Wheeler Driver Pierre Trotter Killed in Madison, Texas Collision with Box Truck

The driver of an 18-wheeler truck was killed Monday morning after a collision with a box truck near Madisonville, Texas.

The driver, Pierre Trotter, 58, from Aurora, Colorado, was driving on Interstate 45 near Highway 75. According to state troopers, at about 7:45 a.m., a box truck was driving south on the interstate when Trotter’s 18-wheeler swerved out of its lane and hit the box truck.

Officials stated that witnesses indicated that Trotter suffered from a medical condition just before the crash. They believe that the medical condition lead to Trotter’s death, not injuries from the crash.

Two people driving in the box truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and were sent to CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Madison for treatment.

The wreck was not cleared for several hours after the accident.
