1 Killed, 3 Injured in Dallas North Tollway Crash near Frisco

One person was killed and three other injured in a crash Monday night on the Dallas North Tollway near Texas Highway 121 in Frisco, Texas.

The crash took place at about 10:25 p.m. Frisco Police Investigators stated that a northbound black Kia SUV struck a concrete barrier on the right side of the roadway, crossed the road, and then hit the dividing median, eventually coming to rest in the left lane.

A spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said that after this initial crash, the driver of a black Land Rover SUV stopped on the right shoulder, but was then struck by a Chevrolet Camaro. The Land Rover driver died at the scene.

The driver of the Camaro was sent to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Kia driver was brought to an unidentified hospital in a private vehicle, while the Kia passenger was sent to Medical Center of Plano with undisclosed injuries.

All northbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway were closed as officials investigated the crash. Since the investigation has not yet been completed, a decision on whether charges will be filed against any of the involved parties has not been publicized.

The identities of the drivers involved have not yet been publicly released.
