One person was killed and two others injured yesterday in a car crash that occurred in downtown Austin, Texas.
According to police, two vehicles initially crashed into each other on a feeder road for Interstate 35 and Cesar Chaves street at about 8:35 a.m. on Thursday. Directly following this crash, the driver of one of those vehicles, a large black camper van, lost control, jumped a curb, and ran into three people underneath the I-35 bridge.
The individual who died was a female in her 40s. The other two injured persons reportedly suffered only minor injuries and were not transported to a hospital.
Reports did not indicate whether either driver was found at fault, nor whether any citations were issued in this matter. The woman who died has not yet been publicly identified.
