A truck driver was injured yesterday in an auto accident involving three 18-wheelers in Copiah County, Mississippi. Two of the 18-wheelers were heading southbound on Highway 27 near Tank Road, when one driver attempted to pass the other truck. The third 18-wheeler was headed north in the opposite direction.
The driver attempting to make a pass struck the northbound truck, causing the northbound truck to veer off the road and overturn. The passing driver then struck the truck that he was attempting to pass.
Considering the circumstances, thankfully only one of the drivers was injured – the driver of the truck heading north. The two drivers that were heading southbound were not injured.
As a result of the wreck the northbound lane of the highway was blocked for several hours while maintenance crews cleaned up the wreckage.
